<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Airbnb, the home stay website, said on Thursday that its employees would be able to work permanently from anywhere, including their homes, offices or while traveling in different countries.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In an email to employees, Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky said there would be no change in pay for employees who work in areas with a lower cost of living and that the company would hold regular face-to-face meetings and group building events.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The move is part of the company&#8217;s broader shift to telecommuting.&nbsp;And it comes after companies such as Google and Facebook cut wages for employees working in low-cost locations.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Before the pandemic, telecommuting was not allowed in many companies. And employees had to work from 9 to 5 every day, which also caused heavy traffic and higher rent.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Office buildings in many of China&#8217;s city centers are now empty, and there are fewer cars on the roads.&nbsp;The COVID-19 pandemic has caused trouble for us, but it has also changed our lifestyles in many aspects.&nbsp;Telecommuting and mixed-working have become part of the way we work, and many companies don&#8217;t have to pay high rents to accommodate employees.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Telecommuting also gives us more opportunities to travel and realize our dreams without having to work and live in the same place all year round. This means that we have more possibilities in life!</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When it comes to autumn, the first idiom that comes to my mind is “refreshing in autumn.” In northern China, after the start of autumn every year, you can feel a marked temperature change, not so hot, but slightly cool, especially in the morning and evening. The midday sun is bright but no longer scorching. If you travel to northern China, you’d better not miss September and October because you can experience the beauty of autumn to the fullest. The sun is warm, and the breeze blows. Riding a bicycle leisurely wandering in the street and appreciating the scenery is a very comfortable thing!</p>
